HTTP vs HTTPS

By default, Liveclicker delivers all content via HTTPS to ensure the highest level of security for your data. With HTTPS, all traffic is encrypted between the end user and the server receiving the request. When passing sensitive information to Liveclicker through ESP custom fields, HTTPS ensures that this data is always encrypted. In contrast, using HTTP would leave that information vulnerable to interception by anyone able to monitor the connection.

Please read this article on HTTPS benefits as reference: Why HTTPS Matters (Google)

Liveclicker does not serve HTTPS on the following email clients to prevent rendering issues:

  • Outlook Desktop.

  • When serving a .JPEG in the native iOS email client and in the iOS Outlook mobile app.

Note: There is an option to serve all content in HTTP on request.
You may request to your Customer Success Manager or the Liveclicker support team to serve content from your account via HTTP (Liveclicker does not recommend this for the security reasons above).
